Ministries of Union Chapel
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program. This program is not only for those who have substance abuse issues, but for anyone who has a hurt, habit, hang-up with which they need the help of Jesus Christ. This means that Celebrate Recovery is for everyone! Each Tuesday night we have a free fellowship meal, a recovery focused worship service, and small groups. This welcoming group of folks is a perfect place for folks who may be less comfortable in a traditional church setting. Join us as we work together with Christ on our journey to from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups!
The Donald Dunn Community Garden is a prolific feeding ministry. Our Spring/Summer crop of 2017 was our biggest harvest to date with around 600 ears of corn, 40 pounds of tomatoes, 50 pounds of zucchini, and 16 pounds of assorted peppers. Currently we have a Fall crop of purple hulled peas and a greens garden with turnip greens, mustard greens, lettuce, kale, and broccoli which are being prepared for a harvest in late Fall and early Winter of 2017.
